Original Oil Painting by SkyzEye

30”x30” Gallery Wrapped Canvas 2” Deep Cradle

A striking figure emerges from a sea of turquoise, where sweeping brushstrokes and scattered flecks of color create an atmosphere that feels both spontaneous and deliberate. Seated with an unmistakable sense of presence, the model is rendered in rich crimson, rose, and violet tones that contrast dramatically with the cool, expressive background.

Immortalized features Chandra, a friend of the artist, and grew out of one of SkyzEye's earliest figure photography sessions using his professional Sony a7RV camera setup. The experience became an opportunity to explore the relationship between photography and painting, experimenting with composition, lighting, and new creative tools.

The painting began with a vibrant turquoise acrylic ground, applied using a broad eight-inch brush to establish movement and texture. Speckled accents introduce an element of spontaneity, while subsequent layers of oil paint develop the figure, bringing depth, contrast, and character to the composition.

Balancing confident gestures with moments of vulnerability, Immortalized reflects the beauty of artistic experimentation and the desire to preserve a fleeting moment through paint. It is both a portrait of Chandra and a record of an artist discovering new possibilities within his craft.
